Set just off the busy stretch of US-19 in Port Richey, this humble spot draws in a mix of regulars and newcomers looking for straightforward Chinese comfort food. The dining room, tucked inside a repurposed building, keeps things casual and unpretentious—mostly quiet enough for solo diners or small groups to enjoy their meal without fuss. While the atmosphere won’t steal the show, the food more than makes up for it with generous portions that satisfy both quick lunch crowds and families settling in for a more relaxed dinner.
Typical visits often revolve around hearty plates like the sweet and sour shrimp served with rice, various dumplings, and options like Mongolian beef or boneless spare ribs. The lunch specials are popular for their filling portions and ease of takeout, appealing to those who want a solid meal without a long wait. There’s also a noticeable care for accommodating different diets, with vegan and vegetarian choices alongside familiar comfort dishes.
Behind the scenes, the kitchen team, led by a dedicated family-run operation, seems to take genuine pride in their craft, reflected in well-seasoned broths and fresh ingredients. The drive-through and delivery options speak to a clientele that values convenience without sacrificing quality, and plenty of parking nearby makes popping in or grabbing a quick bite hassle-free. If you favor casual dining with a no-frills vibe where the focus stays on satisfying, well-prepared Chinese eats, this is a spot where locals tend to return often.

"Great food, huge portions, friendly service, and great prices!"
"I ordered a special fried rice and got shrimp and a little bit of chicken."
"Filty restroom n dining area but great tasty food kitchen was clean"
5 Great food from a hard working man and his family. I got to know the owner very well as I became regular and he loves what he does. I would highly recommend the lunch special menu because both my wife and I get a meal and it’s under $20 for a filled to the brim take-out box. Also if you love crab meat rolls they are to die for.
4 I see someone posted something about the facade, they are not joking about that . But oh my God the food is great prices are very reasonable and the portions! The portions are crazy huge. You can sit down and enjoy your meal here. Do I recommend this place to you? Yes, yes indeed. As you see I posted picks of the bathroom. That needs some serious attention.
5 Food was delicious!! We got honey chicken combo with fried rice & egg roll, general tso chicken with white rice , wonton soup and crab rangoons. My fiancé loved the wonton soup, the broth was super flavorful. Definitely will be coming back
4 Have been going to Green Tea for a few years now and almost always get good hot food with large portions. Usually get the boneless spare ribs and they never disappoint. The house fried rice and Mongolian beef are very good as well. It is in an old taco bell building so the atmosphere is not much but most people get take out or delivery nowadays. They do also have a drive thru so you can order ahead. The food is a notch above the other Chinese take outs in the area and their pricing is usually better as well.
5 The drive-through is amazing. Food is so good and not greasy like other Chineses food places. People are very nice. I have gone many times.
4 The take-out is yummy. My husband absolutely loves their Hot & Sour soup. He says it's better than any other place he's tried around here. I like the Egg Drop soup. Lunch special portions are huge. I eat off one for at least three meals, sometimes four! Yes, the place looks kinda run down but this is take out and Green Tea has never disappointed us.
5 If you're looking for the best Chinese food that is well made, well priced and you get a lot, this place is it! I've been going ever since I knew they existed. They have combo options which come with fried or white rice with an egg roll and the entree. The staff is always friendly and helpful with the menu. Even when ordered through doordash,... it's still good! I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Definitely check them out, you won't regret it. The poctures uploaded are of the general tsos chicken combo and the crab Rangoons. So flipping good!
5 I've been going to this place since I was a kid. Good food and nice owners. I can vouch for the chicken lo mein and beef and Broccoli. Those two are my favorites. It's a bit salter but that's what I love about it. 10/10 would recommend this place and hope it stays here for a long time.
